The name means Shrimper's Point, and is the fishers point of Caraguá, with a
beautiful view of the fishing fleet.
It is the extension of the downtown's central beach to the north.
The main attraction is a stroll by the shore up to the Ponta do Camaroeiro where one can see the famous Pedra do Jacaré and Pedra
da Freira stones, outstanding sculptures made by nature's winds and sea.
Kiosks cater sandwiches, appetizers and offer tours with kayaks and sailboats. The fishermen also rent their
boats for trips. |
