Situated in front of the Praia do Garcez beach (or Praia do Robalo - "snook beach" - as it is also known by the locals) this rock formation intrigues the viewer for its resemblance with a kneeling and half bowing nun looking at the sea as if she is praying.

An excellent walk starting at the downtown's central beach in the direction of the Morro da Pedreira (Stone-quarry Hill) - about 1 kilometer or from the Prainha beach from where 200 meter long trail leads directly to the stone.

The place is also great for angling and picking of mussels.
