For surfers, Maresias is "the" pilgrimage target of
São Paulo's northern shores.
The surfers were the adventurers that seeking for an extra dosis of adrenaline discovered this
"point" about twenty years ago when it was only accessible by a very tough little country road.
The beach features a strong surf caused by local reefs. Today, Maresias is
considered São Paulo's version of Copacabana Beach. It is located along the most visited axis of the area that
also includes the beaches of Boiçucanga, Camburi
and Juquehy.
It holds one of São Sebastião's best infrastructures with hotels,
bars, restaurants, lodges campings and discos. |
