Main beach of the
Anchieta Island State Park,
("Presídio" meaning Prison) this place enchants
through his beauty as well as his local history.
A bloody rebellion ocurred in 1952 and led to the dismantling
of the prison that functioned there.
Ruins of this correctional facility can still be visited
monitored by guides which take part in the schooner tours that
start from the Saco da Ribeira
inlet and Itaguá beach.
A trail leds to the Praia do Sul,
another paradaisical place with clear waters excellent for
diving. |
